About Pamela Hapson
My name is Pamela Hapson. I am originally from Michigan, and I’ve lived in Georgia for the past 12 years. I have four children, two of whom are my biological children and two of whom are my biological niece and nephew, which I adopted years ago, and they became a part of my family. My focus after graduating high school was to go and work for the Department of Corrections, where I obtained an associate degree in criminal justice. However, life happened after adopting my two youngest kids, which changed my career focus to psychology.
My youngest kids have mental health challenges, leading me to become a therapist. I have worked as a therapist for the past ten years, and it has benefited not only my clients but also my children.
I am a social worker/therapist at Anchor psych hospital in College Park, Georgia. I am working on returning to the community to utilize more of my therapeutic skills. I have run, stepping in the right direction for home care services for the past nine years, a brand I started on my own. People say I have a big heart, but I love people and don’t discriminate whether they have mental challenges or problems finding shelter on their own; I get in where I fit in.
My education comes from Baker College of Muskegon, where I obtained my criminal justice degree, and the University of Phoenix, where I received my psychology degree.
